Africa - Kenya
Mount Kenya
Our garden tea comes from the southern slopes of Mount Kenya, which are surrounded by the enchanting Mount Kenya Forest. Right from where the tea is grown, there is a clear view of the mountain’s snow-capped peaks.
Climate
Rich organic soil
Our teas are grown at a relatively high elevation of 2,064 meters above sea level, about 60 kilometers from Kenya’s equator, where the climate is ideal for tea growing. The soils in this area are well drained and rich in organic matter.
Plant species - camellia sinensis
Our varieties of tea are all produced from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant (species) assamica (varietal), but processing methods vary to create different types and grades of tea. Nala Tea has a wide range of high-quality teas to satisfy even the most discerning palate.
