Kenya is the world’s biggest exporter of black tea. Our black tea is processed from fresh tea leaves that are allowed to ferment completely before drying. Our black tea is produced using two different production methods - Orthodox or Crush Tear Curl (CTC). The crush-tear-curl production method forms small-granule teas referred to as CTC teas. These colourful teas are strong and aromatic, known to pair well with milk and sugar.
Broken Pekoe 1

Pekoe Dust (PD)
Pekoe Dust granules are finer than those of the PF1. Tea brewed from Pekoe Dust produces thick, pungent liquors.
